Civilian social ties make Tampa desirable posting for generals

Warren Colazzo, a co-owner of the club known as Thee Doll House, where a Sarah Palin lookalike was the star attraction during the Republican National Convention in August, said his customers include a fair number of military personnel based at MacDill.

"Anybody from the military gets in for free," he said of the club's military-friendly policies.

A hot week for Tampa strip clubs

The Grand Old Party may be getting off to a slow start inside the Tampa’s convention halls, but it’s in full swing in the city’s strip clubs, according to managers of adult entertainment hotspots.

“We’re hoping to double or even triple our business,” said Warren Colazzo, co-owner and general manager of Thee Dollhouse Lounge. “(Republicans) spend more money than the Democrats. They tend to be better tippers.”
